The chairman added, a six-month grace period would be given to the operators to get adjusted to the new requirements.

According to the chairman, traffic police have been instructed to arrest any three-wheeler drivers who don't give the passenger the bill.

Currently, there are around 750,000 operating three-wheelers as taxis in Sri Lanka.
