LOS ANGELES, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed after a small plane crashed into a river Friday night in the midwestern U.S. state of Nebraska, authorities said.
The small plane was traveling along the Platte River south of Fremont when it crashed into the river, according to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office.
All three occupants of the plane have been identified, said the office in a statement on Saturday, offering condolences to the families of the victims and the Dodge County community.
It added that the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will take over the investigation at this point. ■
